That interface would make for a great car media center. I would try
to port it but I'm not sure where to start. Any advice?

Hi Jeremy,

Has anybody tried porting the Chumby Linux kernal/OS to the Beagle
Board?
Hacking Linux for chumby - Chumby Wiki

It is based totally on Adobe flash based environment. It should be
easy to do. Check files on chumby.com downloads, and get the latest
release. They don't see to release total filesystem tarball, atleast I
don't see it. So you have to rely on cross-compiling everything and
putting those pieces together in proper order. BTW, they don't have
chumby-kernel or chumby-ui mailing list but only forurms. I remember
them having one googlegroup, but not active like their forums.

I also own chumby, and right now forward porting their 2.6.16 kernel
to latest 2.6.x.

Hi,

I am working on porting the functionality to the beagleboard, mainly
the flash player.
However, I tried to download the flash player from Adobe but it says
it supports Nokia phone.
I downloaded chumbyflash-src.tar.gz from http://files.chumby.com/source/
but the code size is so small (11KB).

(real newbie :$)
help?

thanks,
Tamer

I think Google Android supports flash. You could probably get the
libraries from them.

Hi,

I'm not sure, I haven't started hacking on Android yet. If you get
flash working, please let the list know how.
