Hi Hychen,

Does anyone compile the ti wirelss module which in android repositry
with android-beagleboard kernel suceesful?

I got this error message.

Your building the driver with the target set to the HTC TROUT (Google G1) in
its config headers. Are you sure you want that?

As it stands it is not going to work on the Beagle without work. How do you
have the TI1251 wireless card connected to your Beagle? SPI/SDIO?

By default that driver is configured for SDIO using several bits of MSM
(Qualcomm) glue to the kernel and SDIO on that platform. Not to mention a
healthy smattering of good old fashioned hacks ;-).

We have a variant of this driver in the Pandora GIT repositories
(http://git.openpandora.org/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=pandora-wifi.git;a=shortlog
;h=pandora) that is a little more 'OMAP3' friendly but would still need a
little work to be multi-device (i.e. a few of the Pandora specific support
bits require kernel side hacks/exports just like they do on MSM boards).
Most of that is still on our TODO list to clean up.

It is worth considering that we are not using this driver with Android and
are in fact actively working to make it more 'Linuxish' and add support for
things like Wireless Extensions and refactoring the driver.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, I had complied the driver sucessful with
android-2.6.27
kernel, sorry about i compiled with wrong config.

I connted the wirelss card by using SDIO, and now I am tring to add
and excute wlan_cu on Android platfrom.

Hi Hychen,

Were you able to setup wifi on beagleboard android ?

The original Wifi driver is from TI 1271 Wifi Driver on OMAP Zomm
platform(GPL) for Android,modified by Jorjin Inc.

It works with following enviroment.

* BSP: Android 1.0 on BeagleBoard
* Kernel: Android Kernel 2.6.27
* ToolChain: 2007q1-21 release of Sourcery G++ Lite for ARM
* MMC Slot: MMC1
* IRQ: GPIO 162 (expansion connector pin 14)

Our diver source is avaliable on http://www.jorjin.com.tw/Support_Download.htm

Android Kernel and BSP can be found in http://beagleboard.org/project/android/,
