Copying Files

I have a problem copying all the files into the partition SD Card. I
followed the all of the instructions to partitioning the Card and got
it successfully done. Yet when i use the #cp command I cannot get it
to work. First of all how does it know where those files are? Am I
suppose to download the files to a certain location on the linux
machine or will it just go out and find it? Also the files are
a .tar.bz2 from the Angstrom website am I suppose to do something it
to get it extracted and untared or what is my problem. Also am I
suppose to get a Lost and Found file in my ext3 partition? Much help
would be appreciated. Thanks

I am not completely familiar with linux and I was wondering how I
download the files off the Angstrom-Demo website? When I seem to
download them in windows it just allows me to download them when I
click on it, when I do it in Linux it opens the file up and shows all
the internal code.

copy the files with root permission
try the following command
sudo cp file.tar.bz2 to second partition

Thanks

copy the files with root permission
try the following command
sudo cp file.tar.bz2 to second partition

lost+found is always created in an ext3 partition.

Are you using the instructions on http://elinux.org/BeagleBoardBeginners ?
