core dumps disabled in beaglebone 3.8 kernel config

Hi,

Noticed while working on the BBB and a 3.8 kernel that I couldn’t get core dumps, and subsequently that the reason for this was that the kernel config option CONFIG_COREDUMP is disabled in the beaglebone config. Is there a reason why core dumps have been disabled in the kernel config? There is already a way to disable them on user-space (ulimit), so I’m not sure why they would need to be disabled in the kernel config as well?

The attached patch restores the core dumps by enabling them in the kernel config, seems to work fine in the testing I’ve done.

Regards
Daniel
