Creating a shared directory on Angstrom

All,

I want to transfer some data from my BeagleBoard xm running Angstrom to a computer.
I am planning on connecting the BBxm to a LAN - a shared folder on my Angstrom holds the data that needs to be transferred.
I have done this before and know that it works.

The problem, is that when I attempt to share a different folder now (right click and then share folder) I get the error,
“The configuration could not be loaded. An unknown error occurred.”

Any hints on how to fix this ?

A quick update on this,
I tried running shares-admin frmo the command line and I get the following error.

Liboobs-WARNING **: There was an unknown error communicating with the backends: The permission of the setuid helper is not correct.

Any help ?
