dead BBB after using incorrect usb cable?

I have plugged an USB câble into the BBB USB port that may be incompatible as it has an extra jack output ( I used it with my old mobile phone ).

Since then the BBB won't boot and now when I hook the original USB cable, that came with the beagle, the pwr led light for less than a second then goes off back again.

Is there anything I can do or is my beagle officially dead?
