deb error

While installing Ubuntu on to the beagleboard-xm by Netinstall method I getting the deb error as follows:

delete the file and rerun, as i've been monkeying around with the
(rcn-ee.net) server to try and get a few things to "upgrade"..

Regards,

For reference:

voodoo@hestia:/opt/github/netinstall$ md5sum
dl/oneiric-armel/linux-image-3.7.10-x10_1.0oneiric_armel.deb
47e2a5e73c774c6740b57daa0207b9f5
dl/oneiric-armel/linux-image-3.7.10-x10_1.0oneiric_armel.deb

Regards,

I have deleted the file(linux-image-3.7.10-x10_1.0oneiric_armel.deb) and ran the commands once again. But the issue is not solved. I am facing the same error.

Well as it still "works for me" can you please provide a little more info..

Run "md5sum" on the file:
md5sum dl/oneiric-armel/linux-image-3.7.10-x10_1.0oneiric_armel.deb

What do you get?
If it's : 47e2a5e73c774c6740b57daa0207b9f5

Next what distribution are you running on your pc and what version of dpkg?

dpkg --version

Then i can atleast try to replicate your issue..

Regards,

I ran command “md5sum /home/tilab/netinstall/dl/oneiric-armel/linux-image-3.7.10-x10_1.0oneiric_armel.deb”
and output was “924e186877d0f8d6d302bc7f42317631 /home/tilab/netinstall/dl/oneiric-armel/linux-image-3.7.10-x10_1.0oneiric_armel.deb”

I am using Ubuntu 11.10 version. How to know the version of dpkg?

I ran command "md5sum
/home/tilab/netinstall/dl/oneiric-armel/linux-image-3.7.10-x10_1.0oneiric_armel.deb"
and output was "924e186877d0f8d6d302bc7f42317631
/home/tilab/netinstall/dl/oneiric-armel/linux-image-3.7.10-x10_1.0oneiric_armel.deb"

Something between you and your "internet" is broken... Fix it..

Server side:
[ps126131]$ md5sum linux-image-3.7.10-x10_1.0oneiric_armel.deb
47e2a5e73c774c6740b57daa0207b9f5 linux-image-3.7.10-x10_1.0oneiric_armel.deb

When i download it:
voodoo@hestia:/opt/github/netinstall$ md5sum
dl/oneiric-armel/linux-image-3.7.10-x10_1.0oneiric_armel.deb
47e2a5e73c774c6740b57daa0207b9f5
dl/oneiric-armel/linux-image-3.7.10-x10_1.0oneiric_armel.deb

aka: your ouput "924e186877d0f8d6d302bc7f42317631" does not equal
"47e2a5e73c774c6740b57daa0207b9f5" so please "fix your network
connection"..

I am using Ubuntu 11.10 version. How to know the version of dpkg?

"dpkg --version"

as mentioned previously.

Regards,

How to know the dpkg version in Ubuntu operating system?

type: dpkg --version

Otherwise it doesn't matter... Your network/system is corrupting the
'file' in transit..
