So, I finally got around to installing BBB-eMMC-flasher-debian-8.0-console-armhf-2015-05-31-2gb.img on my BBB. I have the CircuitCo WL1835MOD cape. Can I enable it with some capemgr commands? Or do I need to modify the DTBs? I see there's some wlan support in /boot/dtbs/3.14.43-ti-r66 (e.g. am335x-boneblack-wl1835mod.dtb). But I don't know how to enable it.
