erased NAND, ASIC characters on boot in rs-232 terminal, am trying UART recovery?

Hello:

I was having trouble with my beagleboard DVI output. Thought I had
mis-configured something and was preventing the DVI display form
working. Not real Linux/beaglebaord savy. Anyway, I erased NAND and
now upon power up the rs-232 terminal program displays what looks like
ASIC characters. I thought I just needed to do a UART recovery. So,
now I am at the UART recovery process using ./pserial and it is
waiting for ASIC ID but not going past this point. Is my beagle board
bricked? Or have I simply forgotten a step? Any help?

Thanks,
mn3

I suggest you follow the procedure found here http://code.google.com/p/beagleboard/wiki/BeagleboardRevCValidation
