Does anyone know of a mentoring organization that did a great job
promoting? We want to create a flyer like the ones provided by
Google[1], but that introduces the BeagleBoard. Anyone got a good
comparison point?

I can't say how successful it's been, but I noticed on the Haiku
mailing list that they've been talking about it in the open for weeks.
They have a gsoc logo on their front page linking to a nice overview
page (http://www.haiku-os.org/community/gsoc/2010), and that has a
flier too. But afaict they've been doing it since 2007 so have a bit
of experience, and they're generally pretty big on organisation (e.g.
haiku inc) and art.
