GSoC 2015 - Student Introduction

I am Steve Ataucuri an student, I got my major in Computer Science at San Pablo University and now I am studing Electronic at Institute of Cesca at Peru. I participated the past year Gsoc14 to ROS-I with a project called “Intuitive Tele Operation for industrial painting”[1]. On 2013 I participated in Gsoc13[0] to OSGeo community those were amazing experiences with my mentors, too last months I was working doing a firmware to a board based on Arduino[2] that I made for smartcities with some friends. I have very experience in C++.

This year I would like to contribute to Beagle board community throught GSoC. I want to express my interest in improvement the project titled “Library of Arduino-compatible functions for StarterWare” it fits to me, because I have previous experence, I downloaded CCStudio, StarterWare to get involved.

Looking forward your response so that I can start explore more detail information as much as possible in the right direction to prepare the proposal. I think I need to write wrappers to Wiring language and functions like : void setup() and void loop() and they must run into beagle bone.I have been seeing arduino-user-space it can help me to understand it.

Thanks so much for your time

That’s the general idea, yes. jkridner has some ideas about this, which he talked about last week on #beagle-gsoc. You could take a look at it on the logs (http://logs.nslu2-linux.org/livelogs/beagle-gsoc/)
