I have forked Bonescript last year and created new JS library named OctalBoneScript: https://www.npmjs.com/package/octalbonescript
As you can already see from the link, the project is quite popular and very useful for community. I am currently planning to develop v1.0.0 for OctalBoneScript and have also started accepting feature requests and bug reports for the same. It would be good if this project gets accepted in this year GSoC. The community can get a stable JavaScript library for BeagleBone very fast through this route. I would love to spend my summer on this. Let me know your views.
