My board which is Rev C4 which is not giving the terminal output
using null mod: cable and USB.
It was working before suddenly it is not giving the console and its
only 2 month old board.
I have tried all the recovery methods in the web pages for
beagleboard. Sometime it gives some junk characters sometime even that
wont be printed. The board is heated up near the USB -mini port.
I have the my previous flash with ubuntu and when i use it, i found
the led's blinking. So i hope there is no issue with the board but i
am not sure about the serial console.
Can anyone help on this, i am sorry because i could not give any log
or anything beause iam stuck on the starting point itself.
You have not provided much to go on. Sometimes your setup can change and you not realize it. You could send it in on an RMA and have it checked out. I would go back and double check your connections, following the System Reference Manual, and make sure you have the ribbon cable on correctly and that the cable setup is correct.
I have done that Gerald and tested with my rev c3 board also.
Double checked the cables and connections. Ribbon cable with red
strip on first pin.
Sorry to ask what is RMA you have mentioned. The same setup was
working few days before even
i didn't moved my board from there.
RMA stands for Return Material Authorization. That is where you get approval to send the board to the Beagle Hospital and have the doctors look at it an see if it can be repaired.
