Hardware or software issue?

Hi

I am running Beaglebone with Angstrom prebuild image and have a
following terminal output:

The board freezes at this stage.
I have tried 2 different latest images of Angstrom with the same
effect.

with a Ubuntu prebuilt image from here
http://rcn-ee.net/deb/rootfs/oneiric/ubuntu-11.10-r6-minimal-armel.tar.xz
the board works fine

How to run WinSCP (Windows7 host) over USB to BeagleBone Ubuntu?
Another question is how to properly shut down / power down the
Beaglebone without the risk
corrupting files on SD card?
