once installed: using gdb - Google Search

After installation when i am about to use gdb it says......libc.so.6
not found..please provide inputs..

If you follow the directions I already gave (even quoted by you below!),
you will succeed. 'opkg' takes care of all of the dependencies, etc.

Why do you insist on doing things the hard way, when you say you have
Angstrom installed on your BeagleBoard? Just use the tools already
available.

I have tried using 'opkg update' but it fails to download due to less
speed on beagle board,so i downloaded from pc,but don't know how to
make use of Packages.gz........is there any other means to make use of
it..other than opkg....

Here is the output:

Dear Lucky,

please do not be rude and follow the netiquette [1]! If people helping
you use interleaved quoting style please adapt to that.

It has nothing to do with speed. Please check if your Internet
connection is working on the BeagleBoard.

  ping www.angstrom-distribution.org

should be good enough for this.

Thanks,

Paul

Hey Buddy,
I am new to this group, and for the first time i am involved in such
discussion, and please don't consider this as my rudeness,it is what
problem i am facing just posting it as a part of discussion, please
don't misunderstand it as rudeness.

Hey Buddy,

Consider ‘Buddy’ a reserved word unless you use it in very informal settings with people you know well. Reading the netiquette will really help your cause, and may actually get good help faster, although it doesn’t guarantee it.

There are some outstanding suggestions like people have asked you to check if the internet connectivity from the BB to angstrom site is working fine.
Even if there are intermittent issues, first step would be to solve/fix that, and then opkg should work well / as expected.

Thanks gdb is working on beagleboard.....the reason opkg was failing
is due to the package it was searching on the angstrom distribution
was not available in feeds,so i manually downloaded the packages from
it another version, can we configure opkg installer to download from
some other location....
