Help with enabling the ethernet on Beagleboard with Xenomai

Hello,
we are trying to use Xenomai for realtime.
We use Xenomai 2.6 on linux kernel 2.6.38 from https://github.com/RobertCNelson/stable-kernel
but without all the patches.
Now most of the important stuff works, except for the ethernet: we get
an error during the boot: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): usb0: link is not
ready
The ethernet LED doesn't power on at all.
Any help would be appreciated.
