Horizontal stripes in mplayer

Dear all

I use the angstrom demo beagleboard image with the “standard” 2.6.32 kernel and upgraded to the latest version.

My problem is that I see some artefacts, 21 horizontal strips, when I use mplayer to play a xvid video over the omapfb video output (mplayer -vo omapfb).
The files are “encoded” as follows:
VIDEO: [FMP4] 480x360 24bpp 25.000 fps 799.6 kbps (97.6 kbyte/s)
Clip info:
Software: MEncoder 1.0rc3-4.4.4
vo: couldn’t open the X11 display ()!
[omapfb] Could not open X, overlay only…

-noslices

Thanks, that works!
No stripes any more. That was easier than I expected.

Greetings,

Han

if you look closely, you’ll see one at the bottom, it’s a buglet in the neon code.

Hello Koen,

I did see this artefact as well, but at the end of the screen is it not really annoying.
By the way I am quite impressed that mplayer can play 720p avi files quite well on the beagleboard XM.

Angstrom is nice distribution for this kind of embedded systems.

Greetings,

Han
