How to get kernel headers for Ubuntu 10.10 running on beagleboard

Hi,
I am a newbie and want to compile a simple hello world module for
ubuntu 10.10 running on beagle board C3.
I give the following command to install linux headers

I tried sudo apt-get install kernel-headers-$(uname -r), but it tells
me:
E: couldn't find package kernel-headers-2.6.35...

Can somebody guide me through the process.

Thanks,
Akshat

Sure...

what does "uname -r" return?

Regards,

Hi,
Sorry for a delay.
The exact dump is as follows

sudo apt-get install kernel-headers-$(uname -r)
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package kernel-headers-2.6.35.9-l9
E: Couldn't find any package by regex 'kernel-headers-2.6.35.9-l9'

Thanks,

Hi,

I think Robert meant the return for the command "uname -r", but you
answerd his question anyway

I'm having the same problem. uname -r returns 2.6.35.9-l9 (same image
as above). => and I think it means I am using one of your images
Robert.
I know you said in different thread that this has been answered but I
just cant find the solution. I am linux beginner, can you pint me in
the right direction?

Many Thanks,

Aron
