How to restore a BeagleBoard uSD card to its factory configuration?

Can somebody point me at the procedure for restoring the uSD card that
came with my BeagleBoard to its factory configuration?

Searching around, I came across the very promising wiki page:

http://elinux.org/BeagleBoardRecovery

which points me at the even more promising Google Code page

http://code.google.com/p/beagleboard/wiki/BeagleboardRevCValidation

which says that the xM validation procedure is still under development.

I can dd an image from the uSD card for my 2nd BeagleBoard onto this
one, but I'd like to find the official instructions, if I can.

Hi Gerald,

I followed these instructions for my BeagleBoard-xM rev A. I wrote BeagleBoard-xM xMTEST_Beta_4_25 on the SD card.

Linux boots, and I see the login window. Then, it restarts. I am powering the board with an external 600mA power supply.

What can be the cause?

best wishes,

Get a bigger power supply. 600mA is not enough. Go at least 1.2A preferably 2A if you plan to use the USB ports…

Gerald,

I created http://beagleboard.org/peripheral. Can you critique?
