how to use Angstrom Root file system with build Linux kernel

Hello,

I have built kernel from
http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/tmlind/linux-omap-2.6.git;a=commit;h=58cf2f1425abfd3a449f9fe985e48be2d2555022
this.

I don't know about to make root file system from this linux kernel. So
I tried with Angstrom-Beagleboard-demo-image-glibc-ipk-2009.X-
stable-20090612--beagleboard.rootfs.tar.bz2.

BB has uncompressed it but getting error "ipv6: disagrees about
version of symbol struct_module" continuously on shell prompt.
As per replied on chat that Kernel and module version are different.

So which linux kernel I need to build to make compatible with this
stable Angstrom root file system? I need to access aux control
register and PMNC.

Thanks,
rach

Hi,
I am also working on building the rootfile system. I don’t have much experience but I guess you need to apply the patches from Angstrom OpenEmbedded then it may work with rootfile from Angstrom.
This is the instruction:
http://elinux.org/BeagleBoardLinuxKernel

Please let me know if you can do it.
