hub port change event

Hello All,
does anyone know what the following dmesg output lines could mean:

[ 5973.943655] hub 1-1:1.0: state 7 ports 4 chg 0000 evt 0002
[ 5973.943962] hub 1-1:1.0: port 1, status 0101, change 0001, 12 Mb/s
I suspect it is some error happening on the hub port #1 but could not find out anywhere what the
status and change codes are.
dmesg output is attached.
My Beaglebone Black USB host is connected to a commercial hub having 2 FTDI USB-to-232 cables (port#1 and #2) downstream.

Thank you

Looking at log, yeap 3.8 kernel + musb issues... Most of those are
known issues..

Fell free, to please try: 4.1.10-ti-r21 as most of the musb issues
are fixed/workarounded/etc in mainline..

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install linux-image-4.1.10-ti-r21
sudo reboot

Thanks a lot Robert.
I wasn’t able to update, though… terminal dump follows:

Your base rootfs is too old:

Thanks Robert,
took me some time but I managed to update to 4.1.10-ti-r21.
Situation didn’t improve much… In dmesg output I do not have the listed hub error messages any more but unfortunately what followed, i.e. the abrupt USB device disconnection, it is still there and even less characterized.
I list the new kernel output and the old kernel output, relevant part only, first message few thousand seconds after boot completes and no dmesg lines, below for your comparison.
Could I enable more usb related kernel messages, somehow?
If you can share some light on what you think it is happening I would be glad.
