I need to build ubuntu Rootfs from scratch -help needed

Hello ,

I have plans to build ubuntu rootfs for Beagleboard xm rev C on my own.Please help me for a good start .Thanks

I googled but there are lot many sources ,I am not able to decide what to follow and what not.
