I wanted to report an issue I’ve been having with the beaglebone blue.
My beaglebone blue will habitually lose all communication with the file system (mounted on /dev/mmcblk1p1). Once this happens, almost all commands result in an Input/Output Error. The only way to fix it (temporarily) is it to physically power cycle the board.
I’ve tried debugging in several ways, including re-flashing, without success. At first I thought it was a hardware issue, but after buying a second BB Blue I’m having the same problem.
I can usually induce the issue by transferring a large amount of files using scp, and also (but less frequent) by searching a large amount of files using the “grep -r” command. Also mounting the file system remotely using sshfs will cause it to break almost every time.
One time I was able to run a few commands in hopes of getting feedback. I’ve included the return from dmesg and the last few lines saved in /var/log/syslog
Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated!
