I’m trying to work out what the NXP 88BHN chip is?

Yes I eventually traced in back to the NXP TDA19988BHN hdmi framer. What was confusing me is only showed the confusing part number NXP 88BHN …

I used to have a list of this somewhere - then the BBB evolved and had a slightly different format (AM3359 –> AM3358, emmc when from 2GB to 4GB, the HDMI framer changed at some stage as well).

Yes I found that - but it doesn’t say whats on the Rev A5C - only what later versions changed to.

E.g. I digging through some things on the device tree - and its realising that a device tree for a BBB A5C is subtly different from Rev B, and probably from Rev C … and some times those subtleties come up and bite you …
