Can anyone help me how to install kernel headers in ubuntu 14.04 kernel version . 4.0

Unam -a >>

Linux arm 4.0.0-rc7-armv7-x1 #1 SMP Wed Apr 8 23:28:52 UTC 2015 armv7l armv7l armv7l GNU/Linux

lsb_release -a >>

No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS
Release: 14.04
Codename: trusty

Earlier I also was unable to install kernel headers for 3.14.

Access from git repository is not supported here. so i have to manually download the zip format.

./patch_kernel also don’t work’s, as it requires access using git.

Kernel headers are available for 3.8 version but that i m not using.

Can anyone suggest me where to find kernel headers for linux-headers-4.0.0-rc7-armv7-x1

<<<<<<<<<
ubuntu@arm:~$ sudo apt-get install linux-headers-$(uname -r)

Thanks :))

Sorry, due to space on rcn-ee.net, the "rcX's" don't stay long in the repo..

Please upgrade to the stable release first: (4.0.1)

sudo apt-get update ; sudo apt-get install linux-image-4.0.1-armv7-x2
; sudo reboot

Then run:

sudo apt-get install linux-headers-`uname -r`

(which will remain in the repo till trusty goes eol)

Regards,

linux-headers isn’t part of the stock debian package repo ?

well, in this case it would be ubuntu, but same question.

Most are available in the repo... (for example the "bone" spin...)

debian@beaglebone:~$ sudo apt-cache search linux-headers | grep bone

Typically, i nuke "W.X.Y-rcX" when "W.X+1.Y-rcZ" arrives..

The repo supports:

Debian: Wheezy/Jessie/Stretch/Sid
Ubuntu: Trusty/Utopic/Vivid/Wily

Right now:

/repos.rcn-ee.net$ du -sh debian/
14G debian/
/repos.rcn-ee.net$ du -sh ubuntu/
10G ubuntu/

But i'm waiting for one more thing, before i move *.net to my *.com
dedicated box, which has no space limit..
