Kernel not booting

Hi

We have used the default X-loader ,u-boot.bin and the uImage as
shipped in the SD card from Beagle board successfully. But the issue
is that the custom kernel we have built which is downloaded from
kernel.org (kernel 2.6.32) using the command
"make CROSS_COMPILE=arm-none-linux-gnueabi- omap3_beagle_defconfig" is
not booting properly. It hangs at "uncompressing kernel........done,
booting the kernel".

Our combination of the images are
X-loader - Default one which is shipped along with the SD card
u-boot.bin -default one which is shipped along with the SD card
uImage -Custom one compiled by us.

Please help us on the following:

1. Please let us know the reason why this is happening, also let us
know the x-loader ,u-boot versions to build by downloading from git
which is compatible with the 2.6.32 kernel.

2. Please send us the commands to download the X-loader and U-boot
from GIT repo.

3. Let us know whether we can download the X-loader and u-boot from
mainline ?

4. Are the mainline X-loader and U-boot compatible with the 2.6.32
kernel configured for omap3_beagle_defconfig

Thanks
Harsh

You know, if you search the google beagleboard group archive i bet
you'd find the answer asap.

I'll give you a hint..

Some kernel's need /dev/ttyS2, while newer ones need /dev/ttyO2..
