Keyboard and mouse not working with Ubuntu 11.10 installed on Rev C5 BBoard

I just tried running Ubuntu on my beagleboard and the output shows the login command line but its not reading my keyboard!, my USB hub seems to have power but im not sure what could be the reason. Anyone having or had similar issues, please help!.

Btw, i followed steps given in this site-http://deautomatized.wordpress.com/2012/04/08/ubuntu-11-10-on-beagleboard-rev-c5/#comment-35

Is the USB hub, externally Powered? or Powered by the Beagle?

Can you login over serial and show us the output of "lsusb"

Regards,

Hi Robert,

Thanks for the reply. The usb hub is powered from the beagleboard. Moreover when i typed lsub, its giving me this (with just WIFI usb dongle attached to hub):

Bus 001 Device 001: …root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: …root hub.

What does this mean?

Nope, it's not detected, probably either not enough power (use
external power source) or it's a usb 1/1.1 hub.. (get a usb 2.0 hub)..

Afterwards, it should look like:

voodoo@beagle-c4-256mb-0:~$ lsusb
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 05e3:0608 Genesys Logic, Inc. USB-2.0 4-Port HUB
