Library of Arduino-compatible functions for StarterWare Project: GSoC 2014

Hello,

I am Amulya Kumar Sahoo, 2nd year in B.Tech ( Computer Science ) in International Institute of Information Technology, Bhubaneswar.

I found creating Library of Arduino compatible functions for StarterWare project idea interesting. I googled about Energia and StarterWare and found many details (coding related) about Energia but very less details about StarterWare. What I found that StarterWare uses C for its coding and many of its hardware related parts but not a single code. Any guidance or suggestion related to this project and contributing to this project in any manner is highly welcome.

I am experienced in C in Linux as well as Windows. I have a knowledge of GCC, linking, object files, makefile etc. Also, I am using Arduino for my Robotics as well as Electronics related applications like making a line follower, automated fighter bot and many more. Also, I know C++ along with Templates. I have a knowledge of a bit of Objective C also as I do program AVR boards with Objective C.

I suggest chatting on the IRC channel a bit to get to know potential
mentors. Have you downloaded the StarterWare library and taken a look at
its documentation? I'm not sure what you mean by not finding "a single
code". Google quickly provided me with
http://www.ti.com/tool/starterware-sitara.

I visited the site http://www.ti.com/tool/starterware-sitara and found all the features of Starterware but, I didn’t find any code of it so that I can get to know its coding and structure. Also, I tried to download starterware but, TI asked me to fill a form after which I was supposed to get the download URL, but, I didn’t get any URL.

If you applied, I’d expect you to get the download URL soon.
