Hi guys,
I am new here and have been very excited with what I have seen so far.
Never knew this existed and I thought I was pretty upto date with
these kind of things. Anyway the reason I am writing this is because I
wish to use an existing LCD panel recovered from my laptop with a rev
C beagleboard. I have found the panel model : au optronics B150PG01
and located the datasheet pdf. In there I have tracked down what LVDS
signals are necessary and what a compatible chip would be. It
recommends using the SN75LVDS84A FLATLINK TRANSMITTER from TI (Does
this sound correct?). Of course I have to wire the whole thing up and
I have got the pinouts of the panel and the TI IC. I just wanted to
check if anyone has any experience with this kind of thing and if they
don't mind answering question through the boards ever so often. Also
if there is any more information available here or anywhere else that
might help. While doing this I am willing to write a wiki entry so
that others may do the same.
