Hello,
I’m fairly new to all this stuff, though I’ve been a Network Engineer in IT for over 20 years, with lots of Linux experience among so many other technologies.
I’ve been helping my friend’s retired father get his setup dialed in as much as possible, and I’ve read much of the documentation - not just on the BBB, but also Falcon Player.
The setup is that there are three BBB boards, each with its own K32A-B power distribution boards, and the reason why he went with this setup was because I had read that it’s a rather easy way to go about things, where the BBB’s can basically manage themselves while X-Lights is used to define pixels and create sequences, etc.
My question is concerning the PROPER way to configure the boards so that it is as simple as possible to create the sequences in X-Lights, and with any luck, he can make changes as needed, press a button, and everything just happens all on its own.
What is the best way to configure the boards for this… should one of them be the “master” while the other two are “slaves”? Or does that really matter much?
The boards connect to the network with WiFi dongles.
Thank you,
Mike
