The Babble error is reportedly because of noise. The device we have plugged in doesn’t have a cable - it plugs into the BeagleBone directly. The only wires are the traces on the bone itself. One thing we noticed is that the power supply rails look a little noisy. I’m wondering: has anybody tried cleaning up the power a little and see if it improves?
I’m not sure what to do with this problem. if it’s a PCB layout problem, maybe there’s nothing I can do. Some devices definitely seem more susceptible than others. For some reason, the WLAN modem we’re using now seems worse than serial devices. Perhaps it’s actually RF noise, I’ll investigate that.
