NAND flash and LPDDR SDRAM procurement problem

Dear all,

we are looking for the following components from Micron technology for developing customized OMAP 3530 board

LPDDR SDRAM = MT49H256M32L4JV-6IT
NAND FLASH = MT29F16G16ADBCAH4-IT

we could not able to get those components… please suggest me where to buy these components.

thanks and regards

Don't use components which you can't buy

maybe ask Micron? Or one of the Micron distributors?

I've been searching around and you are the only one on the entire
internet who claims the MT49H256M32L4JV-6IT part number is a valid one.
Micron.com doesn't list any part with that part number. Even Google
comes up empty.

Micron.com does list the MT46H256M32L4JV-6 part, which is a 2Gb POP
package LPDDR device. Is that what you need?
Micron says Avnet sells them.

The NAND flash appears to be a valid Micron part. Avnet also sells
these, although Micron doesn't point that out.

Have you called Avnet? They may want you to buy in quantities of 1000
or more, but that's normal for these types of parts, especially POP
memory. I expect normal orders for POP memory are in quantities
measured in at least tens of thousands.

TI used to (maybe still does?) warn that before picking a POP package
ARM core, to make sure you have a POP memory supplier lined up at least
6 months prior to needing parts.

Avnet sells from 100euro for each position, but what's next? Micron
changes plans every 6 months and if you are not a huge manufacturer
which can support Micron financially then Micron just will not have
deals with you. Don't be naive: in the adult world there are adult
rules. Kids play on the own playground.

hi,
i am really sorry, it was 46 not 49…

LPDDR SDRAM = MT46H256M32L4JV-6IT
NAND FLASH = MT29F16G16ADBCAH4-IT

which is 8Gb,

thanks and regards

that's it. As far as you chose POP memory you begin to struggle with
Micron business plans. You can buy any ancient memory anywhere you
want, but POP is not for single buyers.
