New demo image available

Hi,

There's a new demo image available from:

http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/demo/beagleboard/Angstrom-Beagleboard-demo-image-glibc-ipk-2009.X-stable-20090612--beagleboard.rootfs.tar.bz2

This doesn't include dsp codecs or SGX userspace.

regards,

Koen

can we assume that these images are built from a fully "git pull"ed
working copy of the stable 2009 branch?

rday

This one was actually made with narcissus, but narcissus is using the feeds that get populated by an autobuilder that builds from an up to date stable/2009 branch

regards,

Koen

Does it include the right kernel modules?

Can I just install the userspace SGX drivers and what do I need to do
to install the DSP stuff?

Kind regards!

Eelco

Does it include the right kernel modules?

Yes, those are GPLv2

Can I just install the userspace SGX drivers and what do I need to do
to install the DSP stuff?

Yes again

regards,

Koen

What about DSP?

kernel drivers are in, dsplink tests apps are in, but not codecs and no gstreamer-ti. The licensing on the codecs has been cleared up, so they should be opkg installable next week or so.

Koen

Sorry about that, please ignore. Using an unknown browser in basic
mode w/gmail apparently has a 'one-click' reply/quote&send function.

Thanks Koen,

The kernel is 2.6.29 while TI provides the PowerVR SDK for kernel 2.6.28.
I updated the modules path at the SGX install script (to use the
2.6.29 path), but the board still stuck during initializing time.

Is there any changes that shall be made in the SDK for supporting it
under 2.6.29?

Thanks for your hard working and support

I build[1] the SDK with OE and have no troubles at all using the sgx with 2.6.29.

regards,

Koen

[1] Only the kernel modules, the rest is still evil and binary only
