Offering LCD screens to help expansion board development

Hello

I need an expansion board with MMC2, I2C, UART and LCD - ideally
simple COTS replacement LCDs.

So far, since there's none being produced, I'd like to give a hand :
I'm offering LCD screens to anyone interested in doing a beagleboard
expansion board. I mostly have 7 inches NECs but if you need a
specific size I'll see what I can do.

The LCDs come with their specs, the inverter and a standard LVDS port.
I also have some with LVDS-> Molex connectors for breadboarding.

Please post your requests on this thread. Tell me the size, the
quantity, and the connector.

The only thing I'm asking in return is that the recipient pays for the
shipping and lets me know if an expansion board is made then sold

Hi Guylhem,

This is really off topic.

I wanted to let you know that I did build out the latest rev of the power
supply board I designed: one with just the charger parts populated, one with
the charger and DC/DC converter populated, one with just the digital section
populated, and one complete board.

The complete board works fine except it is drawing 1.85mA at the battery
when everything is powered down. That is too high. The partially built
boards are fine, and do not draw too much power themselves. I have not had
time to debug the issue, which could be a hardware design issue, firmware,
or a problem induced during assembly (e.g. overheating a part.)

I am looking for technician that can hand assemble the remaining prototypes
to help eliminate my weak soldering skills from the equation.

I am not saying this to stop or slow down your search for the board you
want, but just to let you know why I have not sent you a prototype.

Also, my main way of making money is consulting. I have been busy with
that, which is the real reason I have not been working on the power supply
board.

Anyway, I think your idea for the expansion board is a good mixture of the
expansion ports and would make a good product. If no one else takes it up,
and I get the time, I will look at building what you are looking for.

Excellent news!

There's no hurry. I know what being busy means

I've temporarily stopped my debian efforts due to another USB bug : my
apple non aluminium keyboard doesn't work while the aluminium does.
I must now find some time to purchase a keyboard (!)

Anyway, I think your idea for the expansion board is a good mixture of the
expansion ports and would make a good product. If no one else takes it up,

That'd be nice. You should announce both of your project on the board
to let people know!
