Does anyone know how the new Pandaboard (OMAP4) [1] is related to the
Beagleboard XM?
Is this also driven by the same team as the BB-XM?

It's not
The Pandaboard has nothing to do with BeagleBoard.org. It is a totally seperate effort started by the cellphone group in TI targeting mobile devices.

I was told by TI this board was available to select customers only
and that the OMAP4 is not a catalog solution
I know I expect to get one ( I won’t say how) soon
Will the general public eventually be able to get one ?
Or is this secret?
Its no secret a @beagleboard.org
email address means you work directly or indirectly for TI right?

I guess you need to ask the fluffy bear people. As I said. We have nothing to do with this effort and I can’t really say what their plan vs. intentions vs. final outcome will actually be.

I have one of those, and I do not work for TI. Interpret that however
you wish.
Well, I work for TI and I don’t have nor want one. Interpret that as you like as well.

I will ask my boss when I start Nov 1 at TI in Dallas how I can get one for myself
I accepted an offer from TI recently
Then I will come looking for you (-:
I guess it depends on where you work. TI is a mighty big place.
Ah I see. In software we would call it a "fork".
That helps to better understand this.
Thanks and again thanks for the BB
