Performance of Beagle Board XM

Hi,

I have just received an Beagle board XM and the performance was very
slow :

1. need about 4 minutes to boot up
2. need 10 seconds to run application, such as default browser,
default
move player, file manager ;
3. playing the video looks like playing a slideshow, ie 4-5 seconds
output a picture and without audio sound.

Did I miss some important steps or driver? Please advice.

Did you create your own SD Card or use on that came with the board?
Which xM revision and kernel version? What are your boot arguments?

That's angstrom running on an xM rev C with kernel 3.0
