Pico Dlp from another source thant the Beagleboard?

Hello,

I have read through many fine posts in the group including this
one:
         http://groups.google.com/group/beagleboard/browse_thread/thread/c817daa0f16b0f49

I have also read through many other forums looking for a positive
answer but to no avail.

I have been testing a Pico DLP with an nvidia card for the last
few days (windows + ubuntu) and have not managed to get any output at
all. I have played around with modelines, custom EDID files, DVI-
DtoHDMI cables etc...

My question then is this: Has anyone managed to get the Pico
working with a another source than the BeagleBoard?

I have read many posts hinting that it should be feasible, and
this line: "Connects to other DVI-D signal sources as well" even
appears on the Digi-Key page: http://dkc1.digikey.com/us/mkt/pico.html
but I have not seen anyone actually saying that they made it work.

Did anyone manage to get it working at all?

  Thanks!

Yes. You need additional hardware. Something like that:
http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=101&cp_id=10110&cs_id=1011003&p_id=3048&seq=1&format=2
This should work. I did not tested it - we use different hardware.
