PLease help me understanding this

Hi, I just got my beagle borad and I'm attempting to get angstrom to
run here.

I formated the card, just as the google code page indicated ( I'm
using a 2 Gb SD card)

I downloaded from this site http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/demo/beagleboard/
the following:

MLO
u-boot.bin ---- this ones I copied to the fat partition
uImage
x-load.bin.ift

Angstrom....-demo-..bz2 ----- this one I copied to the ext3 partition
and uncompressed it

I went to the beagle terminal and replaced the x-loader

I reformatted and recreated the 2 partitions (Stupid, I know...)
taking care to copy MLO first

I inserted the card in my beagle board and restarted it....it went
well in the beginning

x-loader is now 1.4.2
i am using kernel 2.6.28

but i am stuck in the screen ""Uncompressing Linux" it's been a lot of
time (1 hour)

I get no error message, no nothing...it is just there....

any ideas??

thanks,

Saul

If it stayed stuck at that point for more than a second or two, the
kernel was never successfully loaded, let alone the root file system,
unless you didn't enable the console output on the serial port. This
sort of problem might be easier to resolve by getting a complete dump
of your u-boot environment, serial output, and visiting the IRC
channel with pastebin.com at your side.

Hi Saul,

Follow http://code.google.com/p/beagleboard/. Provides a proper guide to boot angstrom from the partitioned SD card.

Thanks a lot, I just switched the version of the Kernel...BB worked
perfectly with the 2.6.27

anyway...I'll try out some stuff and see if I can get 2.6.28 to
run.;..
