porting kernel module

Hi everyone, as I posted here I have some problems about using Python modules on Angström. I think the easiest way would be to use another linux distribution (I’ve already tried Ubuntu, Python and SimpleCV is running out of the box) but I need a specific kernel module which seams to be only available for Angström. I am talking about the mt9v113 kernel module for the LI-LBCMVGA camera board.

Is it possible to use this module with Ubuntu? I have no experience about kernel compilation, so I someone knows how to solve this problem I’d like to ask you to explain it for stupid.

Download the angstrom source code:
http://beagleboard.org/project/angstrom

Try apply this patch:

http://processors.wiki.ti.com/images/a/aa/0001-camera-sensor-support-mt9v113-for-beagleboard.patch.gz

After that, try to compile the kernel from scratch using:
