Powering down bbb

Hi,

Presuming hte bb is booted up using the eMMC or uSD, what is the sequence of steps to power down the bbb safely (to ensure no media write errors, etc.), when it:

  • obtains power from usb host (after “eject” at host ?), or

  • obtains power from the 5V psu, or

  • when both the usb cable is attached and the 5V psu is attached.

Couldn’t find info documented.

Use the shutdown command on the desktop or use shutdown on the serial port or over SSH.
