Problem getting started with Beaglebone Black - USB working but not connecting

Hi everyone!

Im trying to ssh to BBB.

I connect the BBB using the USB lead. I run the start.htm but step 1 does not get highlighted.

Im sure the problem comes from the Ubuntu distribution cause I have dual boot and works fine on windows.

Any Ideas? What could I try?
I鈥檝e read the problem might be related to known-hosts but I don鈥檛 know what to do with that information :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks!

Is this a factory out of box image? Or did you flash a new image?

Since it worked on Windows, on linux what does:

sudo ifconfig -a

show?

Regards,

I flashed a new image a couple of months ago.
The output of sudo ifconfig -a command is:

PROBLEM SOLVED:

Im so stupid! I鈥檝e been fighting with this for weeks. The problem was my 鈥渨ired connections鈥 were disabled.
Conclution: before doing anything, if anyone has this problem, check the 鈥渨ired connections鈥 are enabled.

Thank you Robert for the answer.

Awesome, glad it works..

Lately, we have been also having what looked like issues with the 4.1.x
Real Time variant, so just in the last couple weeks switch back to the
v4.1.x non Real Time version..
