problem with "Arm-angstrom-Linux-Gnueabi-g++"

Hi, I'm using Angstrom distro on my Beagleboard. Im trying to compile
a c++ program, even thought i just use a "hello world" program it cant
be compiled. It passed the syntax check and everything but I missed a
file or something.

arm-angstrom-linux-gnueabi-g++: error trying to exec 'as': execvp: No
such file or directory

I checked out /usr/bin in my laptop (using Ubuntu 10.04), it does have
an 'as' file and everything compiled easily. I tried to copied the
file from ubuntu to angstrom but it wont run.

I dont know what package i should install to get it run. Plz help, im
doing my graduation thesis with beagleboard.

Thank you so much for your time !!!

Go to http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/ and read the second news article

I'm sorry my English is bad and I'm a beginner too so can u give a
step by step instruction plz, or at least tell me what I have to do
now? like adding another 'as' file or using another compiler... ???

Are you using the toolchain here http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/toolchains/? If yes, you need to check your PATH environment so that it can find the arm- angstrom-linux-gnueabi-g++ & angstrom-linux-gnueabi-as

The 'as' under /usr/bin is for your x86 linux not suitable for arm.

Hope that helps.

Yes:

step 1) open browser
step 2) go to http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/
step 3) read second news article
step 4) really read second news article
step 5) follow instructions in that news article

If people are using something from http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/toolchains/ they should bother to read the instructions on that page:

"Before using it source the environment
$ . /usr/local/angstrom/arm/environment-setup"

lol u dont have to be so sarcastic. Im not lazy, I did read the page
that u sent and I was saying that I dont even know what toolchain is
for, i mean I can follow ur instruction but I have no clue what I am
doing. I only set up the angstrom demo image on SD card, and install
every packages i need via "opkg install", other than that Im still
learning. U can at least say: your g++ is lacked of 'as' file
because ... and u need to add this... by reading that...

anw thanks for ur time.

@HIeu Trung Le: can u add me up on google-talk? my ID is
khoi010789@gmail.com.Thanks !!
