Random usb bus crash on BeagleBoard XM Rev C.

Hi Tony,

Sorry, with the 'psp' kernel config/patch, i never enabled the options
for the older BeagleBoard's. My goal is the other option, move
patches from 'psp' to my 'x' kernel on rcn-ee.net..

Regards,

Hi Robert,

Inwas my fault since I also have a simultaneous thread going about
building for the Beagle Bone (in which I needed the source to compile
a kernel module). I conflated the two threads.

In any case,is this the latest patch, image, and defconfig to go with
armhf on the XM: http://rcn-ee.net/deb/precise-armhf/v3.2.2-x4/ ? If
so, then which specific mainline kernel version do I apply the patch
to (i.e. 3.2, 3.2.1, , 3.2.5)?

Thanks,

Tony

That specific one would be mainline v3.2.2, I try to keep most things
on that server as easy as possible so don't overthink it too much.

Easy, straighforward; I like it! I'm all set now thanks to your help.
The board is now running the 3.2.3-x4 kernel that I compiled from
source using Richard's patch. All thanks to your guys' help.

Just for the sake of any other newbs (like me) reading the thread:
compiling from source using the steps I listed a couple of posts ago
worked from me having downloaded the 3.2.3 mainline kernel and using
Robert's 3.2.3-x4 patch-defconfig combo.

Thanks x 1000 over.
