Hi all,
I've begun learning the ins-and-outs of running android on OMAP3 while
using a beagleboard-xm. It's been fun.
In the process, I've overwritten a certain SD card quite a few times.
Lately I've been noticing distinct performance degradation
(application response times, media file playback lag, console response
times). Disk benchmarking shows the SD card in question drastically
(-40%) under-performs with respect to an identical SD card model.
Has anyone else linked poor application performance to a tired SD
card? I think it makes sense that it could be major factor.
I've since modified my process to only write modified files, as a
replacement for the "blow the whole card away, rebuild all partitions,
repopulate" approach.
