Where did you get these microSD cards? can i get them off amazon?

Given the sizes I would assume they are 4G cards.
Are these new cards ? Could it be that the non working cards have exhausted the write cycle limit on the card and just not flashing correctly.
I have never used balena Etcher, still use old school dd. Can it verify the image written ?
Etcher does do a verify pass by default.
