Serial cable connection to Beagleboard

I connect my Beagleboard via serial cable to my Linux machine.
Everytime upon reset of the BB, I got some garbage codes printed on
the screen. How do I read the stuff properly? Is it printing in
unicodes? I am using minicom.

If I connect the same serial cable to another Linux machine, I was
able to debug through remote linux machine via kgdb. Anyone had any
problem using minicom to connect to Beagleboard?

Mine is rev B7.

Have you checked the various FAQs starting with
