I'm successfully displaying photos using the Beagle xM on our Sony Bravia 32" LCD TV, using dvimode 720. However the display image (the user's XFCE desktop or photos being shown by eog) is cut off on the left side and needs to be shifted further to the right. How do I accomplish that?
Thanks

are you sure its only cut off on the left?
see:

maybe your TV allows to turn that "feature" off. If it does not,
the only thing you can do is not to use the full area...
You need to disable the overscan on the TV. On your TV I think you can
do this by following these instruction:
"Settings / Set-up / Screen settings / Display Area" and select the
"Full pixel" option.[1]
I had the same problem on my Philips TV, had to enable the 'PC Mode'

Thank you, my TV's options seem different, but I have the manuals and I'll do some fiddling with the setup options and see if that can help. I was able to see that the setup options on the TV do make a difference to the image that is displayed by the Beagle. I'll follow up on this with what I have learned from experimentation.
