yes, i know this is going to drive felipe crazy but someone on the
f11 test list explained what the problem was so i thought i'd share
it.
the issue with building "insmod.static" using OE is that fedora 11
is the first release of fedora where the static glibc content has been
broken out and placed in its own package: glibc-static. i installed
that package and the build zipped right by building module-init-tools
and is still chugging away.
problem solved.
