SSH'ing to 2 BBB's on the same network

Hi,

With the recent 05/03 images, 'am able to ssh into one bbb just fine. Now, with that bbb powerd-off/disconnectd/offline, when I try to ssh into the 2nd bbb, I get the following error, which disallows ssh access:

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
@ WARNING: REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION HAS CHANGED!
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
IT IS POSSIBLE THAT SOMEONE IS DOING SOMETHING NASTY!

It is also possible that a host key has just been changed.

Add correct host key in /home/auser/.ssh/known_hosts to get rid of this message.
Offending RSA key in /home/auser/.ssh/known_hosts:1
remove with: ssh-keygen -f “/home/auser/.ssh/known_hosts” -R 192.168.7.2
RSA host key for 192.168.7.2 has changed and you have requested strict checking.
Host key verification failed.

This could be expected since both ship with the 192.168.7.x addressing scheme. So, I tried changing the ip info for the 2nd bbb in the file:
/etc/network/interfaces
to now say (usinf x.y.8.z instead of the x.y.7.z pattern) basically replacing all “.7.” with “.8.”:
iface usb0 inet static
address 192.168.8.2
netmask 255.255.255.0
network 192.168.8.0
gateway 192.168.8.1
broadcast 192.168.8.3
After a reboot, it did not use this new info, bur somehow reverted back to the old info (checked via ifconfig for usb0). There was an error at the end of the reboot cycle, that is unclear if related:

[ 10.216600] systemd-udevd[83]: worker [101] terminated by signal 11 (Segmentation fault)
[ 10.230355] systemd-udevd[83]: worker [101] failed while handling ‘/devices/ocp.2/47400000.usb/musb-hdrc.0.auto/gadget/net/usb0’

What is the correct way to modify/persist the 2nd bbb’s ip settings and have both the bbb’s co-exist at the same time attached to same host system. Hopefully that would allow me to access them via ssh without issues.

thanks.
