Stand alone flash player

Hi all,

Some basic queries.

1. What does one need to do to get Adobe Standalone Flash player (not
flash lite) to work on beagle board? Just wanted to understand whether
one needs to port it for the platform.

2. Is beagle board ready for commercial deployment? I am interested to
know what companies normally do if they want to take beagle board
based prototype to market.

depends on which one you want:

Flash 7: was available some time ago, might be still, you have to ask adobe,
porting done by you or 3rd party

Flash 9: never available for embedded

Flash 10: to be released, just when?

Flashlite 3.1: available from Adobe, porting by you or 3rd party.

Regarding Flash 9 for embedded, Nokia did get something by special
arrangement for their OMAP-based Internet Tablets--part of what makes
those devices really cool--but I wouldn't expect many other companies
to be able to do that. I have no clue as to what/how/etc., only that
it works well on my N800.
